Do I think Microsoft will get on without Bill Gates? Sure, but it’ll take some time. However, I really worry about the social ramifications of not having Bill around. See, when I was young, my peers and I all had something to dream of. We all wanted “Bill Gates’ money”. Who will my kids have to look up to? They’ll need a new rags-to-riches super hero, and he won’t be nearly as inspirational as Billy. Bill inspired a generation of nerds to dream big: because even if we’re sinfully ugly, we can still be worth more than some countries. We’ll miss ya Bill!

Yes, Vista. How did you know? Clearly when you lose my 9 page paper on the symbolic significance of poison in Romeo and Juliet the next thing I want is more information on how you lost it! GOD!

Bill Gates has been back out on the scene chatting about the new Windows 7 (the quick replacement for Vista due out in 2010). The new system promises to be pretty great; but the special part is that they are GETTING RID OF THE MOUSE. For the first time since the 70s (and piggy backing on the success of iPhone’s touchscreen) PC users will be able to make commands by touching instead of clicking and keyboard command.

I guess some critics are saying that living in a mouse-less/keyboard-less world would make the arms tired. But I say that they are just moving at the speed of technology. Phones, remotes and strippers rely on touch, so why not our computers? Microsoft FTW.

When did everyone start eating sushi? I have noticed that with all of my friends, this is the new big thing. I did not get the memo when “hey let’s get some coffee some time” became “hey, let’s grab some sushi some time”. Now, pro-sushi or con-sushi, you’ve got to admit that Windows Sushi if fucking amazing. They tried to make Vista Sushi, but it was straight up busted…

Josh and I spent the day in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our trip to La is still going swimmingly. We are sort of delaying entering the “real world” for as long as we can. Though we did not get arrested in New Mexico, here’s a shot of Bill Gates in 1977 after a traffic violation. Hm… look at him now. I think we need to get arrested for something.
