Okay so it’s pretty obvious that I’m new to this whole Vista thing (I miss and used to LOVE XP). I’m trying to get this project done and I’m spending more time looking through folders trying to find files that I saved than I am doing the actual work. Is it really necessary to have a “Downloads”, “Documents”, “Pictures”, and all of these other folders? Why not just a “My Documents” like previous Windows versions?? Stupid lack of Windows orginizational skills, I feel like I’m trying to arrange my dorm room.
You would think it would just be easy for me to tell my boss that this PC is a hunk of crap and I would like to downgrade to XP, but then he’ll probably find out that I’ve been looking at pictures of that hot pole vaulter from Cal every fifteen minutes and fire me. Allison Stokke.
In other news, I better not get too hungover for the Gnarls Barkley, Youssou N’Dour, and Deerhoof at Hollywood Bowl on Sunday. Who remembers this Cee-Lo video before he and Danger Mouse? He’s on some other ish.

NOPE! But it’s a crazy idea that was put out on politco.com. Bill was put on a “speculative list of long shot VP candidates”. Republicans are saying he would be a “dream running mate” because he is a trusted voice on the economy and his dedication to charity could soften up the otherwise harsh image that McCain brings along with himself.
Come on, people! Leave the man alone. He just went into retirement. He doesn’t need anyone, especially ghostly looking men knocking at his door.

Man was a legend. If you don’t know his comedy, stop whatever you are doing and pick up one of his books, youtube him, or Amazon one of his DVD’s. Not sure what the equivalent of a moment of silence is online, but maybe take a second from the keyboard and remember this comedy legend. He will truly be missed.

Hedviga Golik made herself a cup of tea and sat down to watch some television in her hometown of Zagreb, Croatia. Sadly, she died in her chair. This was in 1966. She was just found, 42 years later, in her time capsule mausoleum where she’s been sitting ever since. She never finished her tea.
What’s absurd is that she was in fact reported missing, but somehow no one ever checked her apartment, which leads me to believe no one checked anywhere. I mean, where else do you look for someone when they’re missing? I don’t understand it. Her neighbors apparently just assumed she moved out of her apartment, and she was finally found when the police broke in to figure out who owned the place.
A police spokesman said: “When officers went there, they said it was like stepping into a place frozen in time. The cup she had been drinking tea from was still on a table next to the chair she had been sitting in and the house was full of things no one had seen for decades. Nothing had been disturbed for decades, even though there were more than a few cobwebs in there.”

Adidas has released a new collection based around the Pro Model in conjunction with some truly classic record labels as part of the new/upcoming Sounds Of The City line, including not only Tuff Gong Records (the classic reggae label), but also a personal favorite – Blue Note Records. When I get the money, I’m picking myself up a pair of the Blue Note kicks!
