Okay for those of you that don’t know, I’m a huge soccer supporter. With the season in England being done for now and my favorite team, Manchester United, heading into preseason, I’ve started following the MLS more. One player here in LA, Landon Donovan, has been linked to be interested in heading to England.
Kind of interesting considering the only time Landycakes plays worth a damn is when he is in meaningless MLS games. He played pretty well this weekend in New York and maybe he is stepping his game up to make some teams interested. I doubt it though, he was a pansy ass when he was at Bayern Leverkusen and got homesick of his girlfriend, dogs, and mom.
That, and given the fact that he never scores in menaingful games (he’s the US leading goalscorer because he plays in every match and takes almost every penalty kick) and I’m not sure he’s got the balls to make a move. But, what do I know? I wanted to see what the soccer fans out there thought about this, so here’s a poll I put together inbetween this busy work my boss gave me and reading Bigsoccer and Yanks Abroad about the Olynpic team selection.
The word “newsflash,” like the phrase “no offense,” its an early indicator that what follows is probably going to be something pretty bitchy. Our friend Nicole and our other pal Jess have moved in with each other. We don’t think it’s going so well…

Yesterday I awoke with a tough decision to make. Stay in bed or go to the 9:00 AM commencement practice. My head was pounding from the previous night’s revelry…but how hard could it be? Just show up and walk in a straight line right? I sat up in bed, stood up, and then practiced my line-walking while making my blurry way to the bathroom. Oh my god…I think I ate around 6 slices of Domino’s last night. I feel like 28 Days Later. Let me down some water and I’ll go.
What the hell? Why is eveyrone a professional all of a sudden? Everyone is getting business cards and fancy resume paper. Did I not get the memo? Clearly, I was left off the email list that is telling the graduating class of 2008 that they need to get all this crap.
Literally, all of my friends have been showing me all their new files, databases of contacts, interview stuff and cards for a week now. I don’t get it. I don’t think I’ll need this stuff at the internship; but maybe I will.
Honestly, I’m too young to enter the real world. Nerves are definitely setting in. Moving to the other side of the country is freaking me out almost as much as the news that I’m going to have to start figuring out taxes and insurance. And what the hell is home equity? Do I need that?
Wanted: A time machine. If you’re out there. And you have this. Please send me back to freshman year. I’m not looking forward to the future…

The Middle Ages. Really? So they all just took a break from the Crusades and the Hundred Year War to put on a cap and gown and take a picture with the family? I think not! This blows. I do NOT want to graduate.
