So this morning when I came in and my boss had another awesome task for me to spend 8 hours on. I basically sit here and copy and paste a buttload of data from a word document to an excel spreadhseet. But then, of course, after spending 30 minutes on it… I go up to click save to make sure I don’t lose any information in case my PC locks up (which has happened about 4 times this week), and I can’t even click anything on the top toolbar. Then, I can’t even click on the Windows icon on the bottom of the screen to restart.
I didn’t know what to do and didn’t want my boss thinking I’m an idiot so I had to power off the PC and power it back on, and pretty much start all over. Of course the files didn’t show up in the auto-recovery option so, a half an hour of work down the drain. Luckily this will only take me about 3 hours to complete, then I dick around on Facebook and Youtube all day.

2 weeks on the job and I may already be losing it. One of the things I need to do is organize the old programs that don’t work for the OSs we have on the office computers. Basically, I need to find what no longer works and get rid of it so we don’t fill up hard drive space with useless crap. Clearly, this job does not take all day, so I get it done and then fuck around on the internet. Unfortunately for me, I was hanging out here when my boss decided it was a good time to check up on me.
Farts will always be funny. There. I said it.
P.S. In all seriousness, if anyone knows how to permanently delete a file from the computer without first having to send it to the recycling bin, do let me know.

Everyone knows the 3G iPhone came out last week and that it is pretty much sold out everywhere, but there are a lot of negative posts out there in the blogosphere about the Apple gadget. A lot of users have complained about the lack of a copy and paste feature, that a good percentage of them turned out to be defective and impossible to exchange/return, one AT&T mall kiosk in New Jersey has even been handing out propaganda to customers trying to get them to buy Blackberries instead of iPhones.
And to add insult to injury, those who waited in line for hours and hours who were excited to find out that AT&T would be offering free wi-fi access afterall when it was posted on the AT&T website were mislead once again, because it looks like they changed their minds.
What a mess. Looks like I’m sticking with my AT&T Tilt, it has Windows Mobile, but it’s not Vista

NOPE! But it’s a crazy idea that was put out on politco.com. Bill was put on a “speculative list of long shot VP candidates”. Republicans are saying he would be a “dream running mate” because he is a trusted voice on the economy and his dedication to charity could soften up the otherwise harsh image that McCain brings along with himself.
Come on, people! Leave the man alone. He just went into retirement. He doesn’t need anyone, especially ghostly looking men knocking at his door.

I’ve been living in Los Angeles for a month now and I’m really happy. I am, but life isn’t always easy. Of course it’s hard to complain when my biggest stresses are job success and number of Los Angeles friends on Facebook, but it doesn’t change the fact that occasionally in a city that never rains there are still rainy days. I’m remembering what it’s like to be at the bottom of the totem pole, little fish in the sea, and the kangaroo on vacation. Okay, Kangaroo on vacation isn’t a term, but I thought you might bite if I put it in there with the other ones.
So sometimes I want go home, sleep-in through work (and yes it’s only my second week), or just wake up and feel on top again. It’s just not the case. So, what do I do? I rant on the blog and to be honest it does make me feel a little better.

I’m sitting at work and I have had to reboot my computer three times already. It’s bad enough I came in hungover, now I have to keep dealing with this stupid POS OS. I brought my iPod in the other day and plugged it into my work computer, not only did it takes 10 minutes to get the driver info, but now it looks for the drivers every time I plug it in.
Anyways, I decided to look for other people who are having problems with Vista, and found this really funny video. It made my Friday so I thought I’d share it. It’s Hitler raising hell about the flaws with Vista and how he couldn’t install his printer drivers and the new version of Office, hilarious.

The printer broke in the office. I called the tech company and they transferred me to India. All I wanted was someone to come in, take fifteen minutes, and fix it. How does someone who can’t see the printer fix the printer? I’m not anti-out sourcing, but this is getting out of control. If we want to make toys, flat screen tv’s, or burn dvd’s outside the US cause it’s cheaper I understand. But tech help from India isn’t my cup of chai.

Josh and I got this gem from his mother. Oh moms…
HI!
I remembered I hadn’t said thank you for the wireless connection thingy that you also sent. Dad is very excited by that. Apparently we can also use it with the IPOD thingy too but we definitely haven’t figured that out at all!
Once again thanks for bringing us in to this brave new world!
Love you guys.

There are a whole slew of artists out there making fancy sculptured art with Legos. Take, for instance, this guy. Well, I’ve got some “one uppery” that is sure to get me out of this sphincter shack of a job I have now and into the ranks of great Lego artists.
The thought is one big Lego made out of a bunch of normal sized Legos. And then, I’d get a bunch of friends together, and make hundreds of these “Lego Legos” and build cities. Here’s dreamin’…
