Friday

It’s Friday, I aint got no job, I aint got sh… to do…

Oh wait, I do have a job. Damn. Oh well, at least today was another payday. I woke up to a replenished bank account, and please believe it will all be gone by the end of the weekend.

I stayed until 7 o’clock last night finishing that stupid project for my boss, and he wasn’t too impressed. “Bout time” was his response when I finally e-mailed it to him, which took me like 45 extra minutes because I had to go through and re-install Outlook. Oh Microsoft, can you make my job any more difficult?

He said he’ll have something new for me to work on today, and to just answer e-mails and make myself look busy until then.

So for the time being, did anyone catch the MLS all-star game last night? West Ham thinks they’ll challenge for a place in Europe this season, but they can’t keep Blanco’s fat ass from scoring? Scott Parker got used and abused on that goal, and Blanco looked like he was moving in slow motion.

How lazy has David Beckham become since he moved here? He just stands around and calls for the ball, and serves a few long balls and crosses. I think the fastest I saw him run was when he ran over to take free kicks and corners. I would like to see the amount of distance he covers every match, it’s probably close to 20 feet.

Dwayne De rosario played well also in front of his fellow Canadians, eh. Here’s a throwback pic of when he was at Richmond Kickers:

DeRosario

Hair for days.

I’m curious to see where Kenny Cooper ends up, but after listening to his interview, it sounds like he’ll be in Norway along with Clarence Goodson and Troy Perkins (and I think I’m forgetting someone? Ramiro Corrales was over at Bran but now he’s back in San Jose. Someone who moved from New England but isn’t doing so well, who the hell is it?). Even Edson Buddle has been rumored to be off to Norway; what a joke of a league MLS is turning into when guys would rather play in NORWAY than their own country.

Oh well, I’m going to monitor Yanks Abroad and other news sites for updates all day while my boss finds some busy work for me.

DCGuy:

Isn’t Pat Noonan in Norway? Also, your complaints about Beckham are the same complaints most have had of him. It is his lack of commitment up and down the flanks.

Pat Noonan… yes. I heard he’s been sucking it up.

He’s made a whopping 3 appearances so far. Guess he should’ve stayed put.

VB:

Your Beckham criticism is mediocre, at best. His job isn’t to outrun a defender. His job isn’t to dribble through 2 defenders. His job is to provide crosses/passes to his teammates. Besides, it is an ALL STAR GAME. Not like he’ll go for every ball 100% when Galaxy is in midseason. If he’s becoming lazy at 33 years of age, he wouldn’t have been called to the National Team.
